1. What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy

Kerala Forest Development Corporation Ltd believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Under this policy:

Cancellation made on and before 10 days of arrival date,
90% of the invoice amount will be refunded.

Cancellation made before 9 days and within 6 days of arrival,
75% of the invoice amount will be refunded.

Cancellation made before 5 days and within 3 days of arrival,
50% of the invoice amount will be refunded.

Cancellation made before 2 days and within 0 day of arrival,
No refund

Note: Above mentioned refund is excluding credit card charges

2. How can I reschedule my booking?

You can reschedule your booking before making payment. Once you made the payment in advance, you can’t reschedule the date. You need to cancel the booking and need to book again.

3. What about payment terms?

You can make the payment through online by Net banking or card. It may include Room rate with Tax and Service/ Online charge.

4. When will I get my refund?

It is a mandatory process. So, the refund is made according to the cancellation policies of KFDC and the amount will be given by a cheque in the name of booking person and it will deliver to you by a post. For that, you have to send a mail to the ecotourism centre.

5. How to cancel a booking?

Send a mail to respective ecotourism centres e-mail id’s. Refund is made according to the cancellation policies of KFDC.

Do’s AND Don’ts OF A TREK OR A HIKE Do’s Study or have a rough idea about the trek. Follow instructions of your trek guide Get good quality hiking / trekking shoes. Wear comfortable clothes and camouflaged in the forest Drink lots of water to stay hydrated, as dehydration may lead to mountain sickness. Munch on healthy food like energy bars and dry fruits on a frequent basis to keep your energy levels high throughout the trek. Do stretching exercise before you start the trek and cool-down exercise once trek is completed for the day Help other fellow trekkers by motivating Be a responsible traveller. Take your waste back with you Pack light and bring reusable items Take happy memories along with you and leave only footprints. Carry an emergency contact number in your backpack. Please inform your family or friends about your trek. Don’ts Avoid wearing cotton clothes at high altitude (wear synthetic materials) Don’t make loud noises while trekking Don’t litter. We are trekking amidst nature, hence let us not pollute the environment and cause harm to its natural habitats. Don’t wander off from the group or trek alone. Don’t feed wild animals. Don’t click photographs of people, without their permission. Avoid using earphones or loud music. Be wary of dangers that surround you. Don’t take too many breaks while trekking as you may not reach the camping site back before dusk. Never carry much more than what is required as you tend to lose more energy and you will become tired easily. Don’t use body spray or perfume, so it reduces the chance of wild life sighting. Don’t drink or smoke while on a trek Never tease a wild animal. If an elephant chases you, run downhill.
